Accounts Payable Coordinator

The Accounts Payable Coordinator will work closely with the Purchasing, Manufacturing, Technical, Design, and Finance departments.

Ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounts payable processes and systems and invoice-handling procedures. The candidate must be a self starter with excellent personal computer, written and oral communication skills. Two to four years Accounts Payable experience is preferred.

Duties:

• Code and post vendor invoices with a high degree of accuracy, while conforming to tight deadlines
• Ensure all invoices have proper authorization before payments are made
• Process checks with appropriate back up for signature and mailing of signed checks to vendors
• Act as first point of contact for resolving vendor issues
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
• Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and employee expense vouchers while maximizing vendor term discounts
• Process expense reports, ensuring they have been authorized by appropriate management, that correct back-up documentation exists (e.g. receipts) and that payment is made to employees promptly
• Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as required
• Identify areas/procedures that need improvement

Skills/Job Qualifications:

• Two to four years of accounts payable and general office experience
• Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize assignments
• Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as within a team environment
• Good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with outstanding customer-service skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
