Project Manager

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with Customers, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Shop and Field personnel
• Prepare project plans and cost estimates
• Ensure that internal and external resources with appropriate skill sets are provided by involved Department Managers
• Monitor project progress to ensure on-time delivery of a quality product
• Make recommendations to minimize delays and achieve project goals
• Ensure that all necessary information is available for each department to successfully complete tasks on schedule
• Report project status to General Manager on a regular basis
• Plan process flow and create Work Instructions
• Identify system and procedural changes that will ensure successful delivery of future projects

Background: Education/Experience

• At least 3 years experience in manufacturing setting is required
• Ability to read mechanical drawings is required
• Three years Mechanical Engineering experience is preferred
• Project Management certification or equivalent is an asset
• Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing is an asset
• Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is an asset
