Job Description – Quality Manager

We are currently seeking a "hands on" quality manager for our manufacturing facility in Chesterfield Township, MI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possess advanced skills to perform and verify dimensional inspection of complex machined aerospace parts
• Manage workload and allocation of resources, setting priorities and disposition of work within an environment of continuous priority changes.​​
• Research quality issues and rejections and bring to profitable and successful conclusion within a timely manner.​​
• Coordinate the Non-conformance Corrective Action Report (NCAR) program, using a computerized system with tracking and accountability to resolution.​​
• Reduce rejection rate due to inspection errors.​​​​
• Oversee and ensure all quality procedures are current and continue to enhance capabilities.​​​​
• Ensure the administration of the company’s quality process and business improvement efforts.​​
• Provide prompt, courteous, complete and thorough responses to all inquiries from vendors, subcontractors and/​​or company personnel.​​
• Perform other duties as required.​​​​

Experience Requirements:

• 5-7 Years of experience in quality engineering/​​dimensional inspection within the Aerospace industry​.
• Specific Industry or Job-Related Knowledge Required - Quality Systems – ISO 9001 2008, AS9100.​​
• Proficiency with Tools, Equipment, and Machines.

Physical Ability:

• Sufficient physical abilities including standing, walking, stooping, reaching, etc.​​ to retrieve, handle, and inspect parts varying in size and shape and ability to lift up to 50lbs at a given time to retrieve, carry, and move various parts, supplies, and boxes
